Ski apartment renovations

Ski apartments pose an interesting challenge when it comes to renovation. The building can be of varying age, new, old, purpose built, adapted, modified, the list goes on. One thing that they usually have in common is that A) Access may be limited at certain times of the year and B) They will probably be located in a cold part of the world, probably at altitude, meaning that insulation and windows and doors need to be of the highest quality. Our team was called on to renovate an 80m2 2 bedroom ski apartment in the resort of Avoriaz. Given that the roads are closed and renovation is forbidden until September, this left us with a narrow window of opportunity in which to complete the work. Project planning was paramount, as was maximising time in an otherwise isolated resort with very few amenities in the low season. Our client is over the moon with the work that we carried out, and the apartment is already rented for several weeks this season. Some of the work that we carried out included a new kitchen, underfloor heating, the tasteful use of old wood for finishing, two brand new bathrooms, and two new bedrooms. A stunning project by anyones standards, we really enjoyed this job, and the results speak for themselves. Take a look at the photos.

The kitchen was redesigned in an open plan layout, giving more space and user friendliness, as well as the latest appliances
