Preparing for winter

As the nights get longer and the days colder, its a good time to think about preparing your property for winter. Whereas you may have contracts in place for swimming pools, gardens and so on, think about keeping gutters and drains free of leaves, checking the roof for any obvious signs of damaged tiles or sags, on the external walls, any flaking render or crepie that can allow water to penetrate. In the garage and loft spaces, think about lagging pipes to reduce the risk of freezing and the resulting bursts that can be disastrous, especially if the property is vacant. Don't hesitate to contact us for a home check if you are unsure of what to look for. We offer this service, and can remedy any problems that we find for a reasonable fee. Better safe than sorry!
